FAQs
Who can attend?
• We accept both Beginner and Returning Students during our Spring & Fall Saturday Sessions.
• We currently accept 5th‐10th grade public‐school and home‐school students.
• We welcome all genders to attend our girl-focused camps and classes. Currently, about 10% of our students are boys.
• We also now accept public‐school and home‐school students from surrounding counties — Effingham, Bryan, Liberty, Jasper, & Beaufort.
What is the cost?
• Girls Code Savannah Saturday Sessions are currently 100% free.
• Drinks and snacks are also provided.
• Starting in Fall 2026, we will charge a small registration fee for Beginner Students.
• There will be no registration fee for Returning Students.
What skills are learned?
• During Saturday Sessions we run 2 parallel classes: one for our Beginner Students and one for Returning Students.
• Our Beginner Students learn basic HTML & CSS and build a personal website.
• Our Returning Students continue to build upon their coding, technology, & AI skill sets. The new material & concepts taught to Returning Students during a given Saturday Session is based upon the overall coding level of those registered.
Is a laptop required?
• If a student has a laptop they can bring, we highly encourage it for 2 reasons:
(1) to have enough laptops available for students who cannot bring one and
(2) for the student to be able to continue working on their coding projects at home.
• For students who cannot bring a laptop, we will have a limited number of laptops available.
How do I register?
• When registration is open, please use the Registration Form link at the top of the page to register your student.
